# Installation

This chapter provides all the essential steps and tools needed to correctly install, configure, and prepare your theme for use. It includes guidance on uploading the theme, activating complimentary services, setting up key pages (Wishlist and Compare), and upgrading to the latest version (3.x). Each part ensures your theme functions properly and is fully compatible with Shopify’s latest standards.

## **Theme Installation**

1. **Download the theme package** from [ThemeForest.net](https://themeforest.net). The file will be provided in a `.zip` format.
2. **Extract the downloaded package** to access its contents.
3. Locate the file named **`install-me-wokiee...zip`**.
4. **Upload** the `install-me-wokiee...zip` file directly to your Shopify store via the **Shopify Admin → Online Store → Themes → Upload theme** section.

## **Uploading the Theme. Steps.**

To upload the theme to your Shopify store, follow these steps:

1. From your **Shopify admin**, go to **Online Store → Themes**.
2. In the **Theme library** section, click **Import theme → Upload zip file**.
3. In the **Import theme** dialog, click **Choose file**, then select the **`install-me-wokiee...zip`** file from your computer.
4. After the upload is complete, **publish the theme** to make it active on your store.

## **Installing Presets (Skins)**

1. **Install the ExIm App** — Click **Get App** to add the **ExIm App** to your Shopify store.  [GET APP - ExIm APP](https://apps.shopify.com/exim-export-import-pages-blogs-theme-settings)
2. Once the app is installed, **open the ExIm App** from your Shopify admin to proceed with importing presets (skins).

3. Click on the **ExIm** application:

4. Open the **ExIm** application:

5. From the **ExIm App** dropdown menu, select **Theme Settings**.

6. At the top of the **ExIm App** settings, select your newly installed theme.

7. Select the **preset (skin)** you want to install.

8. Click the **Overwrite theme settings and section configuration** button to apply the selected preset,
   \ <mark style="color:red;">**\*Your theme configuration will be lost:**</mark>

9. In your Shopify admin, open **Customize theme** to access the theme editor.

10. Enter your **license code**, then click **Save** to apply it:

11. The theme is now installed with the selected demo settings and is ready for customization and use.
12. If the app  [GET APP - ExIm APP](https://apps.shopify.com/exim-export-import-pages-blogs-theme-settings) does not work properly or you encounter any issues during the installation process, you can use an alternative method to import the layout/skin.

    In this case, please follow the instructions provided at this link: <https://www.wokiee.net/presets3/>. The page contains a step-by-step guide explaining how to import the layout/skin manually.

    Once you complete all the steps described there, make sure to save and apply the changes to your theme so they take effect on your store.
13. Please note that Shopify has some platform limitations and doesn’t support exporting or importing certain elements, such as Collections, Navigation menus, Images, and Blogs.

    For this reason, these items need to be added and configured manually in your Shopify admin, including uploading images, creating products and blogs, and setting up collections and navigation menus.
