How to add Review Stars
Product Reviews and Rating Stars
To display product reviews and rating stars on your store, you need to install a Shopify reviews app. By default, the theme does not include built-in product rating functionality. Once you install a reviews app, the theme’s rating stars will automatically connect and display ratings for your products.
Steps to Enable Product Reviews
1. Install a Product Reviews App
Choose and install any review app from the Shopify App Store. Popular options include:
Shopify Product Reviews (by Shopify)
Judge.me Product Reviews
Loox
Ali Reviews
Once installed, follow the app’s setup instructions to collect and manage reviews.
2. Enable Review Stars in Theme Settings
After the app is installed:
Go to your Theme settings in the Shopify Customizer.
Navigate to Product review stars.
Activate the following options:
Enable review stars — displays star ratings on product cards and product pages.
Enable empty review — shows empty (unfilled) stars for products that don’t have any reviews yet, maintaining a consistent layout.
3. Enable Review Stars in the Product Card
To display review stars on cart items or mini-cart product listings:
Go to Theme settings → Product card, SECTION SETTINGS.
Enable the option Review stars.
4. Add Review Stars to the Product Page
In the Shopify Customizer, open your Product template.
Go to Sections → Product information.
Add the block Review stars to this section
You can adjust its placement — for example, below the product title or near the price — depending on your layout preferences.
Important Notes
The theme already includes the layout and markup for review stars and reviews display.
No custom code edits are required, even if your chosen review app suggests adding code to theme files.
Once the app is connected and the theme settings are enabled, the rating stars will appear automatically on product pages and product listings.
