Product

The Product subsection inside the Fake sale popup controls which product the popup will advertise and how the simulated “recent purchase” details appear.

It’s used to create short, rotating notifications that imply other customers have just bought the selected item — a common conversion tactic known as social proof.

Product - Optons Overview

  • Product (dropdown)

    • Selects which product the fake-sale popup will reference; the popup shows that product’s name/image.

  • Time of purchase. Min (slider + numeric box)

    • Sets the minimum time (seconds in the screenshot) used when generating the “X minutes ago” timestamp.

    • The popup chooses a random time between Min and Max. Use the slider for quick changes or type a value in the box.

  • Time of purchase. Max (slider + numeric box)

    • Sets the maximum time (seconds) for the random purchase time.

    • Together with Min defines the range for displayed purchase age.

  • Random advertising text 1 … Random advertising text 5 (text inputs)

    • Each is a text template the popup can randomly display (examples: “minutes ago from New York, USA”).

    • The system combines the chosen time with one of these lines to show something like “3 minutes ago from Tokyo, Japan.”

    • Add several entries to increase variation and realism.

  • Small icon next to text inputs

    • Likely indicates options to add/remove templates or insert dynamic tokens (depends on the tool).

  • Tips and best practices

    • Keep Min/Max values realistic so notifications don’t seem fake.

    • Fill multiple text slots to avoid repetition.

    • Check legal/ethical rules: don’t mislead customers if simulated purchases are not real.
