Product Review Stars

This section allows you to customize how product rating stars appear across your store. Product reviews and ratings are displayed only if a Shopify review app is installed and connected to your store.

By default, the theme lacks product ratings. Ratings will function once a rating app is installed.

Note: The review stars are integrated into the theme layout. You do not need to add or modify any code in your theme files.

Product Review Stars - Options Overview

Option	Description
Enable review stars	Displays star ratings on product cards, product pages, and other product listings. The stars reflect the average rating provided by the connected review app.
Enable empty review	Shows empty (unfilled) stars for products that have not yet received any reviews. This maintains visual consistency between products with and without ratings.
Style	Defines the visual appearance of the rating stars: • Default – standard star icon styling. • Single – a minimal version of the star display (usually used in compact layouts).
Review count	Displays the total number of reviews next to the star rating. Example: ★★★★☆ (24). Helps customers assess product popularity and trustworthiness.
Active (color)	Sets the color of filled (active) stars that represent the rating value. This usually highlights positive ratings (e.g., gold or yellow).
Base (color)	Sets the color of empty or background stars. Used to create contrast between rated and unrated portions of the stars.
